| Southwest Florida's most beloved bunch of pickers have been thrilling area audiences since 2006 with their own brand of bluegrass and Americana music. Whether it's their high tempo tunes where they just turn the dawgs loose or their sweet soulful harmonies that lure you in everybody finds something to love. The amount of energy and pure joy the Boys put into each and every performance is truly infectious and will make every night seems like a party to remember. Playing a wide variety of your favorites from Old & In the Way, to O'Brother Where Art Thou, to more contemporary songs, no show is ever the same. The Boys are also becoming well known for their own song crafting and you will definitely be humming some of their soon to be classics all the way home. |

| Check out the Boys on Noise Ordinance 2 CD. This is a compilation designed to showcase and cross promote local Sarasota music, unify area performers and bring attention to the area's onerous noise ordinances. The project was born out of both love and frustration with Sarasota's underground music scene. The area has a huge abundance of talent but due to the city and county's noise ordinances, which prohibit amplified noise after certain hours, a lot of this talent has to leave town in order to play. The whole family will enjoy this fun-filled day of activities including storytelling, arts and crafts vendors, musical performances and special cracker cattle and horse demonstrations. It's the perfect day to enjoy the special "A Land Remembered" Coach Safari through Florida's wilderness, the setting for so many of Patrick Smith's great literary works. Proceeds from the event benefit the Allen Broussard Conservancy. A 501C3 nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and protecting Florida's wilderness. WMNF and Skippers Smokehouse Present Still Crazy After All These Years: The Paul Simon 70th Birthday Tribute WMNF and about 100 musicians will honor Paul Simon’s 70th birthday with a tribute to his music-both solo, with Art Garfunkel and with his groundbreaking work with South African and Brazilian musicians. As befits one of the modern era’s most eclectic performers the bands at this tribute will run the gamut from Ukulele folk and Zydeco/New Orleans to bluegrass and a band with instruments made from trash. |
